TOWN, COUNTRY AND TEQUILA
As you pass traditional villages and plantations, your knowledgeable guide will provide interesting insight into the religion, schooling and everyday life of the people who live there. During your tour a stop will be made in one of the small villages to see a local church. Leaving the village, you’ll stop for a complimentary beverage at a working ranch where horses and ostriches are raised. Next, return to the coast to visit one of Mexico’s tequila distilleries for a guided tour. Here you’ll taste firsthand the manufacturing process, as a sample of the tequila produced in the distillery will be offered to guests over the age of 21. Your tour continues with a drive into the city of Puerto Vallarta for a guided walking tour that shows you the highlights, including the Cathedral. After your walk, you’ll have time on your own to browse or shop. Then, you’ll return to the motorcoach for the direct transfer back to the ship. You may choose to stay in the downtown area on your own and return to the ship independently. Please note: Guests wishing to visit the Cathedral must be properly attired (shorts are not permitted). Wear comfortable shoes, as parts of the tour require walking on cobblestones. |
